Officers responded to Murray Street near Brunswick Street on reports of a 5-year-old stabbed around 5:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. There, they found the injured boy.
The boy remains in critical but stable condition at University Hospital, while his mother faces a slew of charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and various weapons offenses, sources with direct knowledge of the incident tell Daily Voice.
This incident remains under investigation. No further information was available.
